Warehouse Manager, Harlequin Arena, Dubai
Reporting to : General Manager- Structures
Peers: Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, Project Managers
Direct Reports: Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Staff
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the overall running and control of all stock owned by HMES in Dubai and its regional offices.
In addition they will be responsible for managing the Warehouse Staff and ensuring that all Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to.
This position is central to the day to day running and growth of HMES. The WM will work closely with the Ops department and Project teams to ensure HMES is able to deliver on all jobs.
Key Responsibility
Warehouse
• Manage the upkeep of all Warehouses to include general housekeeping
• Manage all stock items, inventory and associated depreciation.
• Oversee the loading and unloading of all jobs and ensure kit is stored efficiently
• Monitor all storage methods to ensure maximum space utilization
• Ensure all kit (both stock and customized) are loaded and sent to and from Client sites so that no damage incurs
• Cost control of all external incidental purchasing and associated budgets (to include screws, tape, ………..)
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times within the warehouse and all staff have undergone the necessary training
• Fire prevention and awareness
• Update and maintain stock database (All Hire) and ensure accuracy at all times
Quality control
• Ensure the quality and upkeep of all stock items
• Collate damage reports and coordinate associated repair
• Monitor all wear and tear of kit and coordinate associated repair
• Provide monthly Aging analysis reports to GM Structures to include- Fast moving, slow moving and dead stock
Department Management
• Managing all staff within the Warehouse department which will include the recruitment and training of new staff
• Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
• Supply guidance, leadership and inspiration to dept. staff and help them to define and achieve their individual goals as well as HMES

• Drive the development and compliance of working procedures and HMES code of conduct
• Mentor and inspire staff in HMES best practice
• Liaise with the HR Department to drive the People Development and Training Agenda to ensure that all staff are equipped to deliver within their role and attrition levels remain low
General Management
• Work with the Senior Management Team (CEO, GM Structures, GM of Design) to develop and implement processes that ensure the infrastructure of HMES is robust enough to deliver on the business plan
• Provide regular training to all staff to increase technical knowledge and improve HMES efficiency

Qualification
A Level Minimum
Valid driving License
Experience
A proven track record of 5 years with Warehousing & Logistics.
Previous experience in the Marquees & Events industry.
Knowledge of Health & Safety guidelines.
